River cleanup set for May 2

The 15th annual Petaluma River Cleanup, an all-volunteer workday, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on May 2.

Hundreds of volunteers will fan out from the Petaluma Marina that morning by foot, car, kayak and rowboat, taking their cleanup efforts as far south as the Shollenberger Wetlands Park and as far north as the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets.

Volunteers are asked to wear long pants, gloves and sturdy shoes. Bags and litter tongs will be provided, organizers said.
