Can't be any worse than a block away is the giant Corona bottle on the corner of Lakeville and D St. at the liquor store with the new name Willibee's!

Oh, I forgot that it's just the short bus crowd here on holiday weekends. Do you really think the inflatable beer bottle is permanent? I'll bet they got a temp permit for it.

Apparently so.Smiler

So, as usual, you don't really know but are pretending like you do.

As usual, you know everything about everything. Get over yourself. Who cares if it's a "sign" or Graffiti... you've got to complain about something. To busy assuming things...

Call up Huck and Tom and go slap some whitewash on it if you feel it's such a blight. Unless you just feel like being a tool. Wink

"As usual, you know everything about everything."

Well, actually I do. That is an illegal sign and will be reported by at least one person who cares what our town looks like.

To find out if the Corona bottle or the Tool sign is in violation of any muni codes, one must call the Neighborhood Preservation/Code Enforcement staff member. He is Joe Garcis and is now at the PPD. Phone # is 778-4301 With the 4/10 work week and Friday being a holiday, staff was only available M - W last week. Doubt either item got permits.

oops typo: Joe Garcia, great City Staff member. He always gets back to me when he has the answer and solution to a complaint. Glad to see him at PPD after Community Dev. dept was eliminated.

We'll see...

You don't really care, you just like to complain and make it look like you're doing something for the community.

You remind me of Edna Kravits. The type who stands at their front window with binoculars keeping an eye on the neighbors activities.

Maybe you'd rather see a Home Depot or Lowes built on the lot than some guy selling tools out of an old garage. Get over yourself, you're not that important.

You mean Lenny Kravitz!

Give it up for... Link

"...than some guy selling tools out of an old garage..."

I don't care if he is selling doobies out of that garage, his sign is way too big!

Patrick- you seem way too tender about this, is it your sign?

Tender? LOL! Hardly... The sign is just fine, get over it. It's not a matter of legal or illegal to you, just that you don't like it. Too bad. Leave the selling of "doobies" to House Of Hydro. Wink

Would you paint over the huge Ghiradelli sign on the dilapidated building at the end of Steamer Turning Basin? How about the Huge Coca Cola ad on the building downtown? May as well get rid if the huge American flag atop the grain silos off East Washington. That can't be legal, it's way to big. If Boop don't like it, ban it. Or paint over it.

Have a great Independence Day! Enjoy your freedom! Especially your freedom of expression. Even if you are a tool. :P

You are on the short bus with king. If you think that Tools sign is fine, it is painfully clear that you have no discretion at all...and, no knowledge of Petaluma sign ordinances. The reason that there are sign ordinances in the first place is to keep people with your lack of judgment from making decisions that affect us all. Like this sign for instance.

Who cares? How do you know they didn't get a permit... or not? How do you know it's Illegal? You don't. You just don't like it.

It's illegal to post signs and notices on street lamps and utility poles, but I don't see any sniveling from you on that. Far more of a blight than a painted sign.

You seem upset Patrick.

The city never would have given a permit for fifteen foot tall letters at street level which is what we have there. So, it was painted without a permit. So, not only no permit, but not even close to what is allowed if a permit was issued. It will have to come down, and, time for you to back down too! You lost this one. Smiler
