It is a much richer web site, very user friendly, and I particularly like the Opinion section, however, there are no instructions on how to submit ideas to this section.

Your new site is very nice! I think it would be helpful to have a real help screen. Currently your Contact Us, About Us and Help all take you to the same page. I also found a place to update my email settings so I can receive daily newsletters. Your site asked that I log in first and once I did this, I could not find that page again!

Is the Forums section not called Forums anymore? Is it now Chatter? I prefer Forums and it should be clearly labeled. "Chatter" sounds like live talk. Please state the easiest way to get to that portion of the site. Thanks.

Thank you for all of your comments so far. To answer a few questions:

MsPinot, you can submit news tips and story ideas to the Argus-Courier/Petaluma360.com newsroom through the "Your News Items" link that appears in the blue "Submit your stuff" box on the right-hand side of the P360 home page (and also on most other sections of the site).
In addition, you can also browse the "contact us" info at the bottom of every page to find e-mail addresses and phone numbers for reporters, editors and advertising staff.

Tahoe, we will be breaking out the "contact" and "help" info into separate pages soon, so that each link takes you to the appropriate, specific information.
To sign up for e-mail newsletters, enter your login info through the link in the top right corner of the site and then click on "register" (also in the upper right corner). There, you can sign up for a variety of options for e-mail alerts and newsletters.

JEH, these forums are still labeled as "forums" on a link in the upper right corner of the site. That is probably the easiest way to find them, though we will be adding more links from different parts of the site. You can also click on the "Your Comments" link in the blue "Submit your stuff" box on the right-hand side of most of the site sections.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Will you still have the police logs and the fire calls?

I like the new look, looks more professional, crisp and clean.

However it also appears to be slower???

Great Job.

I can't seem to be able to comment (and see the comments of others) on articles anymore. I fear that the comments section is gone. Forums are all well and good but they absolutely cannot replace the ability to actually comment on specific articles, columns, etc. They are apples and oranges different.

Your casual reader probably won't go to the forums to see comments. You should be doing everything in your power to increase readership and participation, not supress and discourage it.

Thanks again for all the comments.

The police logs and fire calls from the Argus-Courier will be published, and will appear each Thursday morning along with other non-breaking news from the newspaper.

To vote for your favorite gallery in the "Autumn in Petaluma" photo contest, select the gallery you wish to choose and then click the "Rate it!" link at the top left to give it a rating.

Comments on individual articles are not currently working, but getting them up and running is one of our highest priorities right now. Once functional, the comments system will be identical to the one currently used on pressdemocrat.com.

This is a HUGE improvement over the first Petaluma360.com design. The old version was so slow to load, extremely difficult to navigate, that even though I'm a Petaluma resident, I felt forced to go to the PressDemocrat.com website to try and sift through the local news to find Petaluma articles, just because the PressDemocrat.com site was faster and easier to navigate.

When I opened the new site today, I was pleasantly shocked to find a fast-loading, easy to navigate design instead of the painfully unusable site of the past.

As a website designer myself for the last 13+ years, I know a well laid out, images optimized for the web, website when I see one.

Congratulations on the great new design!

Your website is getting better by the minute! I love the new Holiday Events you now have on the home page. If this link is not there, how would you find this page on your site? I have found that once I click on an article in a certain section, the top links tell me I am on the Home page, when I am really somewhere else on the site. Can this be changed so the actual page I am on is the one bolded on top? I tend to forget where I found the article... The Sports page is great, however when I click on a picture, I receive an error message. Thanks for your quick responses!

Looks fine but I can't get any of the "Petaluma Photos". When I click on the photo or title I get this: "ERROR: Couldn't find template for class = _multimedia and category = COMMUNITY". Happens on both my PC and MAC.
???

Do your blogger pictures have to be on the home page? It seems to be a bit much. I think news and events are what people want to see on the home page. Perhaps I am wrong! All people have to do is click on Bloggers 360 and these faces and blogs will come up again.
