To petaluma360.... Please put the FORUMS category on the top task bar, maybe next to the "360 bloggers". It is "hidden" in the top right-hand corner, and doesn't even show up on my screen. Thanks! This might encourage more folks to participate if it is clearly a choice to click on....

So sorry to bother you again. We are a sports family and when we click on 'Casa girl beat Petaluma', at the bottom of the page it says, (1 of 16) next, yet it only takes you to the next article and no more. Also, the top link tells me I am on the Home page, but shouldn't this now be the Sports page? And lastly, the site was down this afternoon and is now moving very slowly. Otherwise, all is great with the new Petaluma 360!

I'm glad the holiday events is a paid advertisement as I can not seem to find one of these events on your calendar. Plus the calendar does not show up in date order. The default on the calendar is 60 miles within Santa Rosa and it would be great if the default was 1 mile within Petaluma, as this is a Petaluma website and we care about what's happening here first. It would also be nice if you had a link to the calendar on the top navigation bar. I love your site, your calendar is something to be desired...

On your Business Directory page, no matter which category I select, it takes me to the same page. Plus it would be nice if this were solely a Petaluma directory. It appears it is for all Sonoma County since it takes you to the PD page. How about a Petaluma Business Directory link and a Sonoma County directory link?

Suggestions:
1. Move up your "Article Comments" category. It is LOST at the bottom of the Buzz Categories.
2. Put the word FORUMS next to the BLOGGERS in the top task bar.
3. Contact the schools and let them know to start posting. All those zero posts are boring.
Thanks for a reply.....

Your site is getting better by the day. I agree with adding the Forums on the top navigation bar. I would also like to see the Event Calendar there with a link to Petaluma events and not the 60 miles within Santa Rosa default you have on the calendar now. Thanks!

Your website was really nice looking until you added the banner advertisement across the top of the home page. I know advertising dollars are important, but how about moving it down along the side? Or moving it somewhere other than the home page?

I like it a lot. I used to really appreciate the daily PM updates on the (really) old Argus website. With the new P360, there seems to be a much more concerted effort to post news events, letters to the editor, etc. as they happen instead of publishing them all on Wednesday. That definitely makes the Argus a more useful resource. It would be great if the Petaluma 360 Chatter page were sorted to show topics with the most recent posts first. That way, you don't have to scroll the whole list to see if there's a recent post for topics that are currently at the bottom of the page. Thanks for considering it.

For the past 2 days, your website has been extremely slow. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the Google map on the home page, but sometimes when the page is loading, at the bottom of the page it says - waiting for Ad.doublclick.net. It seems to take forever to get to the Forums. ALL my other websites are moving as fast as normal except for yours. Help please!

It's disappointing that the front page of 360 displays the negative rantings of "Your Voice" contributors. Today it included an anonymous shopper slandering an individual store employee and a posting with the word "sucks". These contributions detract from the front page and don't belong there - or perhaps anywhere. I also find it troubling that an identifiable individual is continually insulted in this venue. Perhaps this forum is better omitted if people can't be tactful. It should, at the very least, be taken off the home page of the site.

I agree that personal attacks and offensive language would be an unfortunate outcome of the Petaluma 360 Forums. I think the Press Democrat had to go to moderated comments due to those issues. The best HR training I ever attended encouraged us to "focus on the behavior, not the person". It helps frame the problem and make someone more receptive to change. In this forum, describing the behaviors a poster would like to see changed instead of launching personal attacks could be a good groundrule. For example, BullyDefender did a good job of describing the behaviors of responsible and irresponsible dog owners without personally attacking anyone on either side of a very emotional issue that this town has plenty of experience with.

This is my first time using Forums/Blogs. It is my understanding that the majority of blogs on the internet do not display user name - and I am fine with this. Petaluma 360 simply needs to remove the Copperfields blog, thanks to an unidentified person that hopefully will not post any more negative comments here.
