I have always believed that you should not post anything on the internet that you wouldn't also agree to see posted on a publicly displayed billboard. I simply believe if people believe in what they say, they should stand be their opinions with their real name. People's reputations and business success is at stake. I have been reading these postings for years and I can tell you there are dozens of postings similar to the negativity directed at Copperfields. What is the value of that to the greater community??

So "David" is your real name, but which of the other 500 Petaluma residents named David are you?

You must know that if you had to use your "real name" on these message boards that usage would drop 90%.

For example, I wouldn't want to comment (with my real name) on my neighbor's pit bull. He would unleash him on my cat if he knew it was me!

It's up to the "board administrator" to REMOVE any derogatory or hateful posts, in violation of Terms of Agreement.

Have a nice day to all the Davids of Petaluma!

I believe this David is David Rabbitt, the Vice Mayor of Petaluma. I picked this up from the discussions regarding the paid parking at the theatre district garage.

I disagree with you David -- I leave many positive comments on this Forum but I certainly do not want to draw attention to myself. I agree with LinKay that the usage would drop quite a bit if our names were revealed.

It makes a huge difference that you are a politician.

I agree with the earlier comments that Petaluma360.com is really slow. Sometimes it seems to slow down my whole computer. Would appreciate a quick response from the Argus that it's either being worked on or that they don't think the website is the problem. It's so slow, that it's a deterrent.

Thank you PTownFan. I thought I was the only one with this problem. It does not seem to be getting any better. I opened up a new browser thinking this may get the Petaluma 360 site to move faster but I have had no luck. The positive side of opening another browser is that I can click on a screen on this website and go back to the other open browser and move quickly around on other sites while 360 is still waiting to move to the next screen. When this site was open in the same browser as my other sites, it would stop Internet Explorer completely. Please respond Petaluma 360/Argus or PD. I am losing interest in this site due to extremely slow response time.

We are not aware of any slowdown issues with the site, but we will refer these concerns to our online department. Thank you for your input!

Thanks P360. Tahoe described the response time issue to a "T". I would say that the browser window with any P360 page open (forum or non-forum) has the repsonse time of a dial up connection several years ago. I have a very powerful laptop, a cable modem, and am not using a wireless connection. Since the non 360 browser switches quickly between sites, it does seem that something specific to P360 is slowing us down. Hope that info is helpful.

I only use Petalum360 to find specific news pieces. I find it terribly difficult to search the site for specific news stories. Can you ad a search function that will allow you to find key words in articles? May this exists and I can't find it and if that is the case, you should make it easier to find that search function.

I am still waiting for a calendar link on the top navigation bar that takes you to Petaluma events only and is not date specific but shows you the events happening in town for the entire month. Your event city default is all of Sonoma County plus San Francisco. Honestly, I prefer to know what's happening in my own town before I venture out. Gotta keep our money in Petaluma.

I forgot to mention that it's past time to take down the Basin Street Holiday Events Ad on your home page. The last event on this link was December 21st. Thanks.

Thank you for the continued comments and feedback.

To search for keywords in articles, you can use the "search box" located at the top of the right-side column on most Petaluma360 sections (including the home page and news page).

Be sure that "site" is selected before you enter your search term, so you are searching stories posted on Petaluma360.com, instead of selecting "local businesses" or "web search."

Regarding the online calendar, we have ordered changes to that feature that will zero in on a Petaluma-specific search radius, so that once you click on the calendar, you are viewing events within a few miles of Petaluma.

We realize this is taking some time to be fixed. Thank you for your patience. As soon as this and other features are upgraded, we will announce them in this forum.

To search an entire month's worth of events, replace the specific date in the date field with "January" or the desired month to view all events for that month, within the desired distance of the city you specify.

Again, thank you for your feedback!

You have a survey on your Home Page which is great. However, after I answer the 3 simple questions, your survey takes me OUT of Petaluma 360 to some odd website titled surveymonkey.com. I take surveys on numerous websites and they always keep me in the same site and they give me the total results from everyone that has taken the survey. I do not like the fact that I am taken out of Petaluma 360 and directed to some off-the-wall website that wants my money to create my own surveys! Please, this needs to be fixed so we can see the results from our community members and not be directed to an outside site. I will never take a poll here until this is fixed. It is USELESS because who is seeing the results?

I would make these discussion boards more prevalent to the main site as a side table. I value the opinions of fellow readers on issues, events, and restaurant/shop reviews.

Pikko, don't read this topic if you are not interested in it. I read the topics that interest me.

im actually disappointed with this site. not any fun really. they should make this a fun page accenting the beautiful downtown and focus in on a fun up-tempo art community. its all about presentation and this site is white toast with no butter. i wish i knew someone who could make something of this cheese
