For those that don't go all the way down the forum column to look past the BUZZ. I wanted to give a shout out to a fairly new restaurant that I read about in a local paper article regarding the three Family owners. Turkish immigrants trying to make it in small town America, paying taxes supporting community..The lady owner suffered a life threatening heart attack before she turned 40 and needed to get back on her feet. Her husband lost his job shortly after hence they fell behind and lost their home and small farm in Turkey. They lost everything they had except the will to continue and not rely on the Government for help. Her brother came out from NY where he had worked as a chef, to help get the therapy started. They opened up on D st and pet blvd. I am not a big fan of Turkish food but I will try this out and spend locally. Support your local, privately owned restaurants.
