To Wil/Powell's: We found some great deals at the toy store today, thank you for letting us know here on the forum! When we were in the store I heard you say that your goal is to make most items in the store under $20 when you re-open Labor Day Weekend. Thank you so much for making a locally owned toy store more affordable for the average person! I remember walking downtown as a child with my weekly allowance and purchasing items in the sticker store, candy store, and several other great places in the Mill, Pet. Blvd. and Kentucky Street. With your business plans, you are helping to bring back some of my favorite childhood memories just in time for my daughter to make some similar ones of her own. Wil/Powell's - I would like to say that you alone have been responsible for me giving the theater district a chance. While I know that I am in the minority, I will admit I have not been a big fan of the theater district since the beginning. In part because I live within two blocks of it, and I only found out about the development through signs being posted in the area. I have lived in my home for over 30 years now and while I admit that I obviously could have been more involved in the process, I thought the way that the city went about doing things was wrong. I have not agreed with Basin Street and their role in purchasing so many buildings in the city. I could go on and on; however, I realize that this is not the fault of business owners. Wil, your posts here on the forum have been honest and to the point. I have not seen you post anything negative just the straight facts. I appreciate that enough to give your store(s) a chance. I am happy to report that I have been craving the espresso bean gelato since the first time I had it (about 2 weeks ago). You can bet that we will be buying more birthday presents for parties and great stuff for our daughter when you re-open instead of driving across town to K-Mart. Thanks again for breathing fresh ideas and life into my neighborhood. |

Craig's Party Warehouse has some great items lately. You can't beat the prices, especially on gift bags and wrap.
Hey Craig -- you should spruce up the outside of the building and parking lot area. It's looking a little bit worn out. We enjoy your store! Great place to shop in this economy. |

Old Petaluma - Thank You.
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for shopping at our store(s), even though we are located in Theatre Square. Basin Street has been very helpful to us with both of our stores. However, we would not be successful if it weren't for the people (like you) of Petaluma. The community has been great, part of why we would like to really keep the costs down in the new store - it is a hard time for all of us. I see enough negatives posts on here, so I don't need to add to it. I love living, working and playing in Petalauma - it is a wonderful town. WILL & MONIKA . . So much chocolate, so little time |

Wow, there really are some good deals at the toy store, $1.00 items and lots of items more than 50% off. I think I just took care of some of my Christmas shopping.
Not a lot of selection, but the owner told me they are bringing in a whole new look and lots of new inventory. |

Yes, Craig's Party Warehouse has a good variety of inexpensive items.
I'm still using the best pair of reading glasses purchased from Craig's. I think they are all priced at $4.99. |

Here are a few secrets about G&G Market....
There is a "clearance" section of cheese in the deli cheese area. Great bargains, really marked down. Selection changes daily. There is a "bits and pieces" refrigerated bin near the back of the store where you can pick up odds and ends from the deli....like a slice of turkey or an end of ham....really cheap! for you meat lovers. And then there is the bargain bread rack where most bags of rolls are 99 cents. It's near the mark-down veggie shopping cart. Enjoy -- but save some for me! |
