The Christmas wreathes and the Peace on Earth banners are already gracing E Washington Street this afternoon

I guess next year they will be put up over Labor Day Weekend.

That's pretty sad. Maybe with the economy and all the layoffs they decided to get this done now before they didn't have anyone left to do it!

I saw a wreath on a streetlight across the street from Chase bank a couple of days ago. I was hoping it was one they missed taking down from last year. Apparently not!

I agree it is way too early for the "holiday season" to be here!

Be lucky that they even get put up at all. Theres nobody left to do this work, so yes MAYBE they are getting a head start. A little spirit can go a long way...Be Happy....

Sigh. Christmas tree lot already up at the Fairgrounds as of yesterday afternoon. I hope they at least wait until AFTER Thanksgiving to stock it with trees. Yes I am a total GRINCH about "Christmas" coming earlier and earlier every year.



Santa at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was the kickoff to Christmas for me when I was a kid
