Has anyone noticed this health club monstrosity off the highway? There is a 3 story water slide already up. I can't imagine it being a huge success due to it's location being away from residential areas. If their intent was to attract telecom industry clients then they are 9 years too late. There are plenty of health clubs already here. I wish them luck but I can already tell I am not able to afford membership there. I miss Gold's gym and Megaflex with their flat 30 dollar a month rates.
Who knows if a health club will make it at that location. However, one thing is true...that building is butt ugly, looks like a big ass air conditioner unit plopped in the middle of a field. Who designs this tilt-up crap? Better yet, why does the City accept it? Surely, Planning staff and SPARC had the opportunity to comment on the building's design. Par for the course I guess.
I hope they enjoy the noise and pollution from the cars as they slam on the brakes going up the grade. More tax dollars for the city council to play with????? Look to the future for the Petaluma Trolley. Now that is realy a good Idea?
I will be surprised if this place lasts. The monthly fees are crazy expensive. I am going to stick to 24 Hour Fitness. It's a great gym with reasonable fees.

As long as you can find parking and don't mind waiting for equipment. But then again, that's true of most gyms.

I hate clubs that use salespeople to extract money out of you. I went to 24 hr fitness just to inquire on rates and they put me in a room with a salesperson. It was like i was buying a car. I got a trial pass but felt insulted that they wasted my time trying to convince me to pay some 300 bucks to sign and 35 bucks a month on top. I didn't bother going back but they persisted on calling me about joining that I got even more aggravated at their tactics. Whatever happened to simple flat fees for guys that want to use a stationary bike and lift a few weights? Too many bells and whistles just to do a physical act that is otherwise free.
Rate depends upon when you signed up probably. $60 - $80 a month.
Pikko, man you are one sour apple. 24 Hour does have one flat fee, you even said it $35 a month. What more do you want?
The Airport Club in Santa Rosa, many people thought it would not last either. Too expensive, not near residential - wrong! 16 years later still going strong. I doubt Club One would waste millions and something that would not make it.
I am a member of Club One and have been for over a year and welcome this beautiful new facility to the area. You cannot compare Club One to 24 hour, Gold's etc to this HEALTH AND FITNESS CLUB. If you are looking into membership at another club you are obviously not happy with the current club you are at. Check the facility out before you make any judgements!
