I'm posting the details of the Mayor's Walk to be held tomorrow, Feb. 7. Sort of short notice, but there will be a discussion of the asphalt plant. Here's the e-mail I received:

THE 2ND MAYOR'S WALK

Join Mayor Pamela Torliatt for her second Mayor's Walk! This event is
an opportunity for people to walk with the Mayor, get some exercise,
meet new friends, and enjoy some beautiful trails in Petaluma - the
Alman Marsh Trail and Shollenberger Park.

When: Saturday, February 7, 2009 – 10:00am to 11:30am

Where: Trailhead of Alman Marsh Trail at the Petaluma Sheraton
parking lot (rain or shine) we always need exercise!

Who: Everyone is encouraged to participate in this easy 4-mile
walk! (Trail conditions are fine for jogging strollers; get an extra
workout with other types.) No need to RSVP - just show up.

On Tuesday, February 3, 2009 the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors
took a straw vote of 4 to 1 to approve an Asphalt Plant over the
unanimous opposition by the Petaluma City Council and thousands of
Petaluma residents. Come to the Mayors Walk to find out more
information and what you can do to help.
