OK. So I was just reading that there are 5 schools in the Old Adobe School District ... Is there a particular school that my child must attend within that distric based on our home address? Or do we get a choice of the 5, as long as it's one within the district? Is the Old Adobe Administration Office off of Caulfield (forget what the street name is that it's actually on) open for us to walk-in and ask questions about the school system?
OAUSD is located at 845 Crinella Drive and their phone number is 765-4321. You can walk in or call. You may be on a waiting list if you choose a school that is not within your boundaries.
Most OAUSD kids have traditionally gone to the campus closest to their house unless there was a special reason not to. I attended a non-neighborhood OAUSD school as a kid, but wouldn't recommend it because of the negative social impact (much harder to make truly close friends) unless the nearest campus has real problems the others lack.

Out of curiosity, did you graduate from high school? Casa?
