On Friday, February 27th the Wilson PTA hosted the “Bring Your Parent to Lunch Day” with great success! There were approximately 60 families that participated in this opportunity to have lunch at school with their children. The last Friday of each month is usually our PTA pizza lunch day. This was a great combination of the two activities where parents ordered pizza and got to share the lunch period with their children. The teachers helped by serving the lunch so the parents that normally volunteer as servers could be with their children. The weather cooperated with a beautiful day. It was a real treat to see so many parents and children sitting on the picnic tables together. The Wilson PTA has sponsored a few events this year to build community. Earlier in the year they hosted a PTA movie night and before the holidays they held an evening gathering for parents and children to build Gingerbread houses. The PTA involvement helps make Wilson Elementary a great place for children to grow and learn.
