Successful Car Wash for Wilson School 6th graders!
On Saturday March 21st the Wilson School 6th grade students and their parents washed cars and sold baked goods from 9am to 1pm. Everyone had a job to do and the group netted over $1,000 to help pay costs for their Outdoor Education week. Some friends of Wilson School bought presale tickets, but most folks dropped in when they saw the students waving signs along Bodega Avenue. There were crews waving signs, washing and then drying the cars. The students appreciate everyone that supported their efforts. One generous neighbor paid $50 for a car wash. The students had a great time together and helped earn their way to camp. We are fortunate to live in Petaluma, a great community that supports children in their positive educational endeavors. |
