Two long time local businesses have excellent, very low price lunch specials. 4th & C, listed on their sidewalk sign, has a "recession buster" pulled port sandwich with fries and drink for $4.99. It is very good. Sal's New Yorker, next to Camera Corner (Shutterbug) has a daily special with salad for $4.99. They also have a wonderful daily single pizza, but I'm not sure if it is also reduced to $4.99 or might be $6 - not sure. Give them a try.
