Has anyone tried LEMONGRASS THAI (next to Big 5)? If so, what's good on the menu? This is a cute little spot, but with all the construction it tends to get lost in the corner.
i've eaten here several times (last night, in fact!) and am always pleased with the food. i had the pad thai (pretty commmon, good and consistent) and have previoulsy had the duck fried rice and a variety of other dishes. always go away happy with the quality of the food and the service. they changed owners/name (from Thai Basil) some months back, but i haven't noticed any change at all in the decor, quality or service. try it. it's a nice place and best of all, local!

Food is fresh and well presented. The Green Curry Chicken is very nice and spicy. Glad to see they are doing good business. I think it was hard to tough out the construction of Raley's and the parking lot. Hopefully the new remodeling and the new sign will keep this hideaway spot a local treasure.
I have been there 3 or 4 times now. The food is always very tasty and fresh, and the service is excellent (especially considering that one woman seems to do it all!). And the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
I agree that the change between owners was so smooth and the place has maintained it's taste and charm. I don't eat in the restaurant very often, usually taking it to go, but while I am waiting the service is amazing. The woman in front (who does seem to be a one-woman show) is always so gracious and offers me water and shrimp chips with a lovely smile. Everything I have tried there I love, but my favorites include the pumpkin curry (with meat of your choice--I like fish in it), the Tom Kha soup with seafood or chicken and the deep fried sweet potatoes with a sweet/spicy/peanuty sauce. I recommend this place for sure.
Here's my two cents. The sizzling ginger fish is nice, and the pad see iew with beef is great also. The panang curry with chicken is yummy as well. Happy we found this place.
