Who would have thought Paradise Tan in the G&G shopping center is out of business?

This spot is a prime location for a small restaurant and it has the outdoor courtyard seating.

It's a busy shopping center and right next to Leghorns Park. We would love to see one of the successful restaurants across town open up a second location here. Romeo's???? Come back! We need pizza over here! LOL

I just thought the same thing this week when I noticed that Pardise Tan was gone (what a surprise)

Somthing a little upscale would be nice - Italian, or something like Dempsey?

I wouldn't mind seeing a restaurant named Paradise. That is a superb location, next to the sports fields and the park. Outdoor eating area too.

Great location and could be a potential gold mine. Here are my suggestions:

Pinky's II
Aram's II
Romeo's II
Hallie's II
The Natural Cafe (like the one in downtown San Luis Obispo)

Anything but another tanning salon!!!!

Location doesn't guarantee business, especially in this economy. I have to say that Flipper's isn't great, and I'm not a regular at Chunky's Mexican, and the food at Julian's isn't worth bragging about. I think the perfect thing to have is a Papa John's or Little Caesar's pizzeria or a independent brew pub (Owned by Lagunitas would be nice)

Good suggestions! I think Little Caesar's would do very well in this location. I could never figure out why they left Petaluma anyway. Their shop in Washington Square was always busy.

Just what we need, another chain store selling lousy pizza. Old Chicago, New Yorker and Romeos all sell a superior pizza with fresh real ingredients.

Bully, just to let you know, Little Caesar's is actually very good. You can get a large fresh vegetarian pizza for about $12. I like Old Chicago, but I do not like to pay $29 for a pizza.
I also would like to see Romeo's move back to that shopping center. Their current location is not very good and the parking is horrible.

Bully, I think you missed the point of this thread. What would YOU like to see at this location? Any thoughts or suggestions to the leasing office?

I miss the old Mikes at The Yard. Maybe the new owner of the Mikes at The Crossroads could open Mikes Petaluma. My bet is they'll be packed.

Halle's and Aram's would be great!! Healthy eating option would be wonderful. A BBQ place is a good idea too - perfect location by the park! Please, no chains!

TOGO'S. ENOUGH SAID.
How much would it cost to open up a Togo's? I know it's a chain, but it's a damn good one. way better than the 3 Subways and Quiznos we have.

Great Location!
Ok, lets see. Fairly hi traffic area with good parking, great surroundings (Park) and out door dining too, so lets push the numbers around. Whats the lease cost, city impact, permits, startup cost, plus equipment to get through the door, $200,000. With the present condition of our lenders, I think we're out of business already. Maybe the County and City would streach out the fees involved for permits over a 5 year period, and if the business closes in less than a year, no fees apply? Any takers??
Put up the cash, and I'll show you the Best Damn BBQ ya ever tasted!

Pikko,

No - Togos is NOT a chain. It is a franchise and a BIG difference.

Big Dad, tenants are hard to find, work a deal out with the landlord. Do a % rent, can't hurt to ask!
