If you like Indian or Nepalese food, the new Himalayan Curry & Kabab, just opened on Western at Liberty, is well worth a trip. It's been packed for the first week.

We ordered food to go from here recently. It was definitely tasty and the chicken & vegetables were good quality. I ordered badly so we ended up with two Masala dishes that were too similar. They forgot to put the spinach in the matar paneer but I will forgive that. I still love Namaste but this is closer and we will definitely try it again.

When Star of India folded up, my wife and I were saddened. Then, what it seemed like simultaneously, the Kabob House opened to our delight. Since we live on the west side it was convenient so we gave it a go. The service was a bit on the slow side but the dishes were great and worth the wait. The dining room fills up fast so it'd be a good thing to get there early.

Each visit has been impressive. The Masala is creamy. An appetizer was one of the most unusual and wonderful flavor combo's ever had. And, of course I can't remember name. Apple's, Samosa, cilantro and paprika drizzled w/yogurt. My description doesn't do justice. The service was good. Prices appr. Best Indian food in Petaluma, contending w/ N. Bay.

I agree. This is a wonderful eatery with peaceful atmosphere. The lentil soup is delicious. Prices are reasonable. A GREAT addition to West Side restaurants and one I hope will stay for a very long time!

Had a delicious kebob there, and my dinner companions were impressed with their meals too. Pleasant if simple setting. I recommend it.
