Anyone know anything about Viva Cocolat? Will it be in Theatre Square? I hear that it will be a new chocolate/dessert place and I'm interested in finding out more.

No, it is a block or so North on the Blvd. I believe 110 Petaluma Blvd. There is a Ribbon Cutting scheduled on the 6th of Feb.

That is all I know.

So much chocolate, so little time

The door was open today 2/2/08 so I looked inside and asked the lady when they will open. I thought she said the 9th. Can't wait!

Where exactly is it located? i keep looking for it but I'm not sure where it is.

110 Petaluma Blvd. North, a couple doors north of Gayle Central Club on the same side. The windows have been covered up with white paper.

I stopped by for opening day and got my free chocolate bar. The place is really charming. I think it will be a great dessert place to go after dinner. I'm just worried they won't be open late enough on weekends to accomdate an after-dinner crowd.

Well, dang... I might just have to wander by there. After I visit the gym, of course.

We just stopped in there this past Sunday to pick up some dessert items for a friend's dinner party. The place smells like a funny cocktail of chocolate new construction wood and paint. (But hey they just opened so we're sure that the chocolate smell will totally overpower the place soon). The truffles were from Joseph Schmidt and they of course were excellent. We tried a few of their small chocolate mousse cakes and they were fantastic and rich. Sadly, I will avoid the place until my endocrinologist says it safe for me to go in there again!
I hope that it's real soon.
