I really like the new Jennie Low's in the Theatre District. Everything is really fresh and they don't use MSG. Another option, depending on where you live, might be Lily Kai's on Lakeville. Very decent food.

Jennie Low's is very good! I would also recommend Hunan Village next to Longs.
Lily Kai is good, but they do have some MSG in their food. (Myself and two other co-workers reacted) They said they can not control all the msg in some of the food they get (prepared?)
I highly recommend Lily Kai...the wah won ton soup is excellent and you get a good size bowl for ordering a "small" Plus it has asparagus, big chunks of chicken, pork and several shrimp plus your usual veggies. It's so worth the price. The rest of the food is excellent as well! Jennie Lowe's I would also recommend...excellent food at a resonable price, plus they are happy to make things low fat or veggie. Those two are my faves, but the little Chinese place over by Ross (near Radio Shack) has a great lunch buffet.

It's a tough choice! I count more than a dozen Chinese restaurants in Petaluma now, and that's not including the super market trough-style food. So, I'll narrow it down to my favorite half dozen or so...
Lily Kai: I had Lily Kai take-out this week and it was delicious as usual. Lily Kai is always good, fresh and just seems like a lighter (less oily) Chinese food experience. Parking is usually OK, but the lunch hour can be tough to find a spot in the parking lot.
Jennie Low's: I have been a fan of Jennie Low's for years and was very happy to see Jenny open a place here in Petaluma. I used to go her place in Mill Valley years ago. Jenny Low's taste great and they are quick. It seems like more of a family style place and being close to the theater is nice. Parking for take-out can be a bit of a pain though.
Hunan Village: My old stand-by, and the closet place to home, is Hunan Village next to Longs. Their soups are the best and deep fried anything is the best here. Lunches are quick, filling and a good price. Parking is easy for to go food.
Chinatown: Another downtown favorite is Chinatown on Kentucky. I always liked this place for Sunday brunch for some reason. Again parking can be tough for to go food.
ChopStix: I've heard good things about the new ChopStix in the old Dragon View on Western. I also understand that Peter Welker is going to start playing there soon. It sounds like an altogether different kind of Chinese food experience - maybe less so of a to go place?
OK... now I want some Chinese food!
