Stopped by Green String Farm on the way home from Sonoma (on 116 near Adobe Rd). Bought some local organic baby beets. Sliced and wrapped them in foil with a little olive oil. Beets on the "barbie". For about 20 minutes. Delicious!

This is a great very local 175 acre vegetable and fruit farm. Very gratifying to see this use of the land so close instead of paving over our best farm land for houses. They have good stuff there. Hope Petaluma supports them by visiting often and buying lots. Tomatoes and peppers are in in full force right now.

Green String Farm is a good bunch of folks with good quality product. They should definitely be on everyone's list for farm fresh produce.

I'd agree that it's great to see the land used that way rather than paved over... or turned over to the Sonoma Land Trust devils and lost forever.

On Tuesday we purchased some VERY FRESH aspargus and chard. All veggies were $2 per pound, mix and match. Delicious!

You know with some of the drought that we have experienced in times past, I heard about The New Xziex Water Generators that they have now Big commercial water generators that generates water from the atomosphere, pumping as much as 3,500 gallons a day.Farmers are buying them. Great product for the Green String Farm should they ever have to face a drought!
