My family had a wonderful time in downtown Petaluma this weekend. It started with the Hospice tree-lighting ceremony on Friday to the lighted boat parade on Saturday, and ended on Sunday with the horse and carriage rides, live music, carolers, face painting and free caricatures. And of course, we loved sitting on Santa’s lap! A HUGE thank you to the Petaluma Downtown Association and everyone else involved in these fun festivities!
I'm glad someone enjoyed the river light parade, as I contacted Petaluma City Hall, inquiring when this event would take place. I was told that it already happened. This was Moday December 1st. I am very disappointed that we missed it, and Someone had there facts WRONG. Big Dad.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I hear there were a few snow flurries in Healdsburg early this morning. How fun! Remember that amazing morning several years ago when we got several inches of snow? Fortunately we had a huge piece of cardboard and a hillside nearby. The kids will never forget it!

Big Dad, I am sorry you missed the lighted boat parade. The best source for events happening in town is this website, the Petaluma Visitors Center or the Petaluma Downtown Association. They all keep their websites up-to-date.
