why is it that the city has asked us to cut back our water 15% but I walked past the visitors center the other morning and the sprinklers were going full blast watering all over the sidewalk? I don't know if that is reclaimed water or not but either way why waste? Why wasn't a drip system put in? If it had been they wouldn't be wasting water wetting the sidewalk. That is just one example open your eyes city and practice what you preach and maybe some of you should look at your own watering practices.

I noticed that my local neighborhood park had been watered the night before (I assume it was done at night) and that the turf was squishy in parts, muddy in others, and that there were muddy tracks left by the mower.
I called Parks and Rec. and left a message. Last week I noticed someone servicing the sprinklers and opening the controller box. I look forward to noticing improvement. |
