Yeh King, with the forclosures, no refinancing, 2nd mortage's, has killed the RV business all across California and the US...However, this is a great time to promote the RV Repair business, as all the big dealers are gone, leaving no place to have your RV repaired....SO Sad Henry.
Its surprising to hear they're closing, especially since there won't be any RV dealers or parts stores local. I've shopped in Hansel RV parts many times and I'll be sad to see them go. I wonder whats going to happen to Pat Johnson and all the other great employees??
Yeh it is too bad to see the business close. Pat is by far the best RV parts guy around, and they had some good tech's too, and had a good thing with the RV Collision repair as well. Its too bad that Henry can't see the gold mine it could be, with All the competitors gone.....but he's a car guy and has run the business that way as well....
I'm surprised that they are considering closing. Pat Johnson is one of the few people who understands customer service. If Hansel closes I think Pat should open his own place! I know everyone blames the economy but if Hansel had properly managed thier assets they could weather it out. What did they do with the money they were making during the good times?
The economy has played a big part in RV closures all over, with the Big Name guys (Dan Gamels) from one end to the other in california, however, there are alot of Mom and Pop RV stores doing great business. This is no time to close up shop, but RVs have never really been Henrys thing, or he would have managed it better.....I am looking and hoping Pat does open a RV Parts Store...I'll be the first to spend my money there!
Well I guess this really got me going. If you drive around in any town you will notice about every 3rd home has an RV, boat, trailer in it. 20yrs ago only few had RVs. If the money is not there people will not and cannot buy new RVs, but will spend their money to keep what they have in good condition, and continue camping. Its fun and everybodies doing it so, why would you close a business when the getting is good. Pat is my freind and a great RV parts man, and I would say if anyone out there has Capitol to offer, would be a great time to invest in a RV Parts store in Petaluma....It is the Hub for all of Northern California Camping. Petaluma needs a business like this, not a big box..This is a sure money maker......
