The Sonoma County Planning Commission will meet Thursday afternoon at 2:05 P.M., 575 Administration Drive, Room 102, Santa Rosa. As of today, Dutra topic reads:
"Request for a General Plan Text Amendment to add a General Planning Area Policy to allow the project to exceed the noise standards contained in the General Plan Noise Element."
What this suggests is that Dutra does not have the ability or WILLINGNESS to reduce the excessive noise the asphalt and recycling process will generate and seeks an exemption, using their political and financial clout. The excessive noise will disturb those who use Shollenberger Park, local residents and (of course) the wildlife in the park and hheron/egret colony.
