Every second Saturday from October-June we offer a free docent-led walk at Sholleberger around the two-mile loop trail. To reach the park, go east on Lakeville and turn right on South McDowell Blvd. The park is three blocks south. Docent Tommy Smith will bring his viewing scope and knowledge of the park to conduct the walk, which will emphasize the bird species there at the time. The walk starts at 9:00 AM, and will last several hours.

One of the migratory duck species at the park now, in numbers, is the Northern Shoveler, which visits the park in the winter from the Great Plains or Canada. In the attached photo, the male is to the right.

More information on the PWA can be found on our website, Link including descriptions of our activities, and hundreds of photos.
