I have also noticed over the last several years how soaked our fields get. Especially during soccer season (in the middle of summer!), I have experienced mud pits at Casa, Prince, Eagle and McKinley, to name a few. Doesn't the city keep telling us to conserve water?? Why then, so they have more water for the city's overwatered fields? Come on Petaluma - look in the mirror. If it's a sprinkler issue, HAVE SOMEONE FIX IT!
Wickersham has been gross for a couple years. They can't seem to get the park watered evenly, so part of the park is fine and the rest is mud, which sucks when you are trying to play ball with a toddler. We need to lay off the watering. If fact, they can all but stop watering wickersham for the winter.
