those are NOT "pavers". those are granite construction blocks like the kind they build bridges and overpasses out of!

whoever ordered those obviously ordered the wrong thing! I hope they were fired...

ANYway the good news is they CAN be smoothed out by sanding them down, question is will they ever be??

I can understand using them as "speed bumps" at the crosswalks on the Blvd, but to pave the entire street with them... well I just drive on the wrong side of the street on 1st St and I see plenty of other people doing the same. I do not drive a 4x4 truck or SUV I drive a normal small car. I work on 1st st if I drove down there every day my car would be demolished in a very short time - as if Pothole-uma doesn't have enough of a road problem!!!

I agree. These stones make 1st Street nearly undriveable. This was a very poor design.
