It is unfortunate but our city is in tough times. The aquatics advisory board has done a great job in getting people aware of both swim centers. They have spent many hours making brochures and placing them around town. It's not that there isn't enough use it's that the swim centers alway run in the red. The money raised does offset some of the expenses, but not nearly enough to keep it open longer. This is why the facilities time frame of being open has been cut. We do need to find more revenue some how.

we could have more if everyone would quit whining and budget better. we need larger stores people want to shop at for revenue. look at downtown and all the empty places, eastside too. water treatment plant over budget, too big, cobblestones, a 200,000$ city mgr, our local mayor who has not kept her campain promises. NO TEEN Center for our youth, no swimming pools, and if target goes in, which would be great will they leave the skateboard park or will that be next.this community needs things for kids, family, and elderly,we need our park and rec stuff for all of us. san francisco just built a brand new pool on 19th ave to replace its old one. maybe we need some new manager in these depts that care about us its taxpayers. just remember when its time to VOTE.
