| Volunteers, working in coordination with landscapers who also donated their time, buried the lawn around Petaluma's Cavanagh Recreation Center. Of course it was the sheet mulching method used to convert lawn or turf areas to low water landscapes. This is a photo essay of the activities that took place between May 15-17, 2009. Towards the end the temperature went into the mid nineties so you can imagine a little use of water for cooling off tired volunteers!
