There is a probable case of the swine flu in Sonoma County that might not be verified until Sunday because it takes several days to verify these cases.

We would advise you to take caution if you need to be in crowded areas where sick people recently returning from Mexico might be.

Saturday Afternoon, May 2nd Update:

The Petaluma Health Center screened about 300 people between Wednesday and Saturday morning who had flu-like symptoms. Of these, only 33 had all of the major symptoms of the swine flu.

We have some of the test results back and, so far, NONE have indicated the swine flu. We will keep you posted as we continue screening and testing in Petaluma
