We give our most heartfelt thanks to everyone who made a donation or volunteered their time for the 2008 holiday season.

For the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the Salvation Army, Petaluma Corps, distributed a total of 278 food boxes, serving 1,042 Petaluma citizens. Christmas gifts were distributed to 1,302 Petaluma residents and 248 Petaluma nursing home residents were visited and also received Christmas gifts.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses for sponsoring the Angel Tree program: Redwood Credit Union, IHOP, Xandex, Fireman’s Fund, Romeo’s Pizza and Exchange Bank.

We would also like to recognize the following groups for hosting kettles: Calvary Chapel,
New Life Church, Downtown Rotary, Police Chief Steve Hood, Fire Chief Larry Anderson, Bundesen Realty , Adobe Christian Church , Living Faith Church , Saint John's Anglican, Future Business Leaders of America, McDowell Drug Taskforce,
Kiwanis Club, Katha Snow, Wings of Glory, Open Door Church, American Legion Post 28, United Church of Christ, Hillside Church, Price Point Realty, Lokahi Outrigger, Canoe Club, CPS Golden Land Realty, Pacific Union Realty. There were many individual volunteers who also rang the bell and hosted a kettle. We thank them for their generous donation of time and goodwill to help support the good work of the Salvation Army.
