RE: Link

This meeting was full of fireworks and demonstrated the rift that exists amongest our council members. The union president gave a shot across the bow to the city manager whose impersonal approach to his employees, who he refers to as "low hanging fruit," was pointed out. The first cost saving measure the council should make is a pay cut from the fruit on top of the tree. Another thing learned from the meeting is the bullfrogs are not safe. I have an idea instead of worrying about bullfrogs and feral cats lets get some of theses projects up and running to produce some sales tax. I vote for prioritizing our council meetings to fast track growth projects. Finally, the guy with the large chain around his neck is awsome.

When 71% of the general budget is for police and fire it seems disengenuine to have all the cuts come out of public works. That's what Mr. Brown has done so far, mabey if he tried to be a little more evenhanded he wouldn't raise the Ire of his other employees.
